Background about the salon and owners...
· Established in 2005, Studio Be Salon is grounded in American culture, style, art, and craft. They have three locations and offer everything from bang trims to intensive deep treatments to get their guest’s hair in the best condition possible. For the past 11 years they have treated in-house guests but noticed that there was a major guest need that was overlooked and neglected outside of the salon environment. Guests that require deep conditioning treatment weren’t able to get a salon quality regimen at home. In 2016 Studio Be is launching a system of hair products and hot styling tools to help guests with long term hair care in the comfort of their own homes on a more frequent basis, while still feeling the experience of a healthy environment that comes along with your hair treatment. Studio Be Salon is launching the product [Refuge - working name for now] this year and has enlisted Grit to develop the name, brand, packaging, and website.
Overall, the goal of the Studio Be product is to (1) Finding Time to create an experience and helping them invest the time they need to treat their hair right. (2) Developing a Healthy Lifestyle for their hair. Helping customers (3) Create an experience for themselves when using the products; the experience should be relaxing, relatable, luxurious, and make the customer truly understand the benefits of having an at-home salon experience. The Studio Be treatment is the first of its kind and there is nothing like it in the market.
Customers will sign up on the website and take a hair care quiz which will then generate a hair regimen for the completely custom for their needs. They will receive boxes custom boxes each shipment - which will change based on where they are in their regimen
