Project Main Details

funny nike commercial parody
This is a promo video for a new Bible app - which might sound boring - but it actually pretty revolutionary for Bible nerds. :) This is a playful 2 minute video for the voice of the narrator. The feel of it is based on the new Nike Unlimited tv commercials that aired during the olympics. Here is the youtube links to watch them. It should be pretty fast-paced, playful, funny, casual - but not too gimmicky - the right tone.

Script Details

(just read the narrator - not the parts in parentheses)

You see this guy? He is on his way to work and just had a question pop into his head…

(man: How many times did Abraham speak to God on things relating to economics?)

Huh? Where you gonna find the answer to that?

Google it? I don’t think so…

Try this, it’s called the SourceView App.

It can tell you what Biblical character spoke to whom and about what … in about a millisecond.

(man: Whoa. So Abraham and God spoke about economics 8 times and here are the sources.)

This woman right here is preparing for a Bible Study in the book of Ruth…

(woman: I wonder how many words are spoken by women versus men in this book?)

So how would find something like that? An online concordance? Nope? Wikipedia? Nope.

The Sourceview app will tell you that 713 words are spoken by women and 691 words are spoken by men in the book of Ruth. At that was at a time in antiquity where women’s voices are rarely heard.

(woman: Amazing!)

It’s 2am, You see that student over there… they are working a project  due tomorrow and guess what…

They have a question, but not just any question… a question that normally takes 111 hours to get the answer to.

(student: Out of the 753 times that Jesus spoke to someone, how many of those times did He talk about Religion and Education and mention work.
… I’m never going to get any sleep.)

Good luck with that one internet… maybe you can get a Biblical studies professor on their cellphone at 2am. Nope.

Lets ask the SourceView App.

Wait, What? There are 20 passages that deal with Jesus, Religion, Education and work.

(student: Good night, Thanks SourceView.)

Now you see these 4 people, they are going to do something  in 16 minutes that no one has ever done before….

whats that? read the book first Timothy together dividing up the speaking into 4 roles…
while highlighting each time a passage relating to the Family is mentioned.

Hey, How do you do that?

Well, Black text for the narrator, red text for the divine
then green text for the main character of the text and blue text for any supporting characters
oh yeah and with a pink highlight every time it relates to the family.

It brings the text to life almost like reading a film script.

these spheres of society will let you see god’s design for all areas of your life.

(man: So that is in the Sourceview app too?)

yes it is.

and that’s the only the beginning, reveal who spoke this word,
to whom were they speaking, when did they live? and what was their profession?

instantly see the most used words by character or book of the bible designed with colorful infographics.

this is not your fathers bible tool is it?

not quite, this is a whole new way to access the Bible.

and there are millions of other insights still waiting to be uncovered in the metadata...

meta what?

Yes, Sourceview app is a digital tool, but it was really created to provide you with a fresh enriched experience with God.

so cha cha, does this matter?

download it today, and watch your engagement with the Bible change.

now it’s your turn, see if you can answer this question…

How many times did Jesus speak about peace in the context of the family?

You still here?

Go. What are you waiting for?
