Project Main Details

EICP Voiceover for elearning
I am seeking a male voice artist for a minimum of three online learning modules. I will be the producer of the online learning modules. The client’s business has a presence in several states (AL, AZ, CO, TX, FL, NM, NE, OR), so I’m looking for an “anywhere in America” type of voice. I don’t yet have all the details, but I’ll provide as much context as I can.

The immediate task is to audition several voices for the client, and the client will ultimately select the voice. My role in the selection process is to do the first cut, and this will be based on both the sound/quality of the voice and in general, your price. In order to calculate whether you’re in the client’s budget range, please let me know how you price your work – whether by the page, the word, the length in finished minutes, or some other way.

I’ll be writing the narration, so you’ll have a script that’s written and edited with the voice artist in mind … there won’t be any tongue-twisters, and no run-on sentences that leave you gasping for air, so I don’t anticipate that there will be any script editing on your part. However, it’s been my experience that voice artists often see opportunities for improvement, and the ideal person for this job should have no hesitation in making suggestions. I also strive to work up-front with the client to nail down the narration (using a temporary computer-generated voice) so as to minimize pick-ups related to script changes.

The subject matter for these initial modules revolves around HAZCOM, Airborne Diseases, and Bloodborne Diseases. The target audience is the folks who deliver and maintain durable medical equipment (like wheelchairs, oxygen therapy equipment, and the like) for hospice care.

To give you an idea of what I have in hand, the most complete script is 1104 words, covering 7 pages in MS Word (Arial 12 pt), and with the computer-generated temporary voice, runs for 7 ½ minutes.

In terms of payment, I pay by check, and I like to send the check by the day after I have the voiceover files in hand (via e-mail, Dropbox, or Box – whatever’s easiest). On pick-ups, if the client has made large changes the script, I expect that you’d be paid for that. If it’s a minor tweak, such as the occasional pronunciation or inflection, I’d expect you to work with me on that. Also, there are no residuals; this is a one-time payment for your services.

Lastly, I think your demo recordings will be sufficient for the client, but there is the chance that the client will want to hear a short paragraph of part of one of the scripts.

So, let me hear from you, and let’s have fun while making some money.
