Project Main Details
The online training is content driven but is highly interactive. Users are offered interactive cases where they select a response from a series of questions - some are text based but many are image based (imaging such as ultrasound and videos).
We would like for the narration to be professional, clear. The narrator should sound knowledgable and confident. That said, we would like the narration to feel as though the speaker is talking with the user - sharing knowledge in a collegial manner as opposed to talking TO the user. We would like the users to feel as though they are talking with professional colleagues as opposed to trainees who are starting off "green". Feel more like a conversation rather than narration.
There is no need for post narration production (no sound or multiple voices.) American or British English is needed but without a very strong pronunciation / distinct dialect. The goal is to offer courses for clinicians ex US as well, so we'd like for the pronunciation not to have a distinct regional sound (southern or NY accent for example). Female and Male voices are acceptable.
While the end project will be very large (1 course consists of 2000-4000 slides) and multiple such courses will be developed, we are now working on a pilot demo which we would like to complete by the end of June2013. Suggested text below is from the demo.
The scope of this project at this time is for the pilot which includes one module/lecture - roughly 100 slides. Text varies between 1 line per slide and up to a paragraph such as the one submitted below.

It is important to understand that in the setting of FOCUS evaluation for severe hypovolemia, the diagnosis is a "rule-in" one. In other words, if the pattern of severe hypovolemia is seen, the diagnosis is made. However, if the pattern of severe hypovolemia is NOT seen, this does not exclude hypovolemia of lesser degree. This is a very important concept!
If hypovolemia is clinically suspected, more sophisticated investigations which are not covered in this Topic Module should be pursued.
