Project Main Details
********** is a start-up company focused on workplace benefits and financial education solutions for corporate employees. Our online offering includes a rich, multimedia learning experience that requires a voice component. We have an expanding curriculum of lessons, some of which must be customized for each client deployment.
Each project will consist of a lesson script that aims to be anywhere from 1,000-2,000 words. Generally speaking, we try to limit the lessons to 10 minutes of total talk time but there are exceptions. As all lessons are created in PowerPoint, the script will be segmented by slide. The voice talent will record each slide as a separate audio file and each file will average a minute long recording. The voice talent will add 0.5 seconds of dead air at the beginning and end of each slide. For example, if the script breaks out into 12 slides, the voice talent will provide 12 separate MP3 files. Due to occasional script errors, changes and lesson customization, the voice talent may be required to rerecord files for an extra fee.
We are looking for a young voice talent to become a virtual member of our team. Given the nature of the subject matter, the voice talent must sound conversational, trustworthy and credible. Given the nature of our client base which consists primarily of technology companies, the voice talent must also sound young and energetic, and keep a fast pace with an even, conversational tone and volume. Give the piece some life without too much stylizing; listening to an announcer for 10 minutes can be just as tiring as listening to a monotone voice. In addition, the voice talent must not be easily intimidated by the occasional technical finance or health care term. The ideal candidate should have easy access to a studio and be capable of turning around projects within *48 hours*. No editing for volume or spacing should be done on our part. Ideally, files will be posted to an FTP site for easy access and download.
Because of the nature of our business, there is an opportunity for a large amount of voice work as curriculum expand and we sign up customers with unique customization requirements. More competitive pricing means we can give you more work. We pay $80 per script for our regularly scheduled voice talent and are able to give them a lot more work.

Let’s start with just what an F.S.A. is. An FSA allows you to set aside part of your paycheck for health and dependent care expenses. It actually covers a lot more than just doctor co-pays. You can use your FSA for medical, dental, and vision services – not only for yourself, but also anyone who’s a dependent of yours. And – this is kind of sweet -- it doesn’t matter if your dependents are enrolled in someone else’s health care plan – you can still use FSA money for those expenses.
And while we’re on the subject of dependents, if you have to use day care or private sitters for your child – or if your spouse or parent is disabled and needs care – you can use your FSA money for that too.
(Here’s some fine print stuff we have to tell you – and we know it’s tedious, but it’s useful to know: not all day care is eligible. To be eligible, you have to be using day care in order to be able to work – like, if you were going out to a concert, you couldn’t use FSA money to pay for a sitter.)
Here’s what’s really cool about it -- and why we think it’s a good benefit for us. By putting money in an FSA, you lower your taxes and have more pay to take home!
