Driverless Car Online Video 
We're a large online media company testing new video formats for its various platforms. This video is for our tech / lifestyle websites. It's an internal project we're doing to test how it works on the platform, and then hopefully entice advertisers and partners to purchase this type of video format.

Yep, the future is now. No, not that future. We’ve all heard the news that self-driving cars are here, and presumably it’ll only be a matter of time before we’re all literally taking a backseat. But the dawn of the autonomous car didn’t happen overnight.

In fact, we’ve been using driver assistance systems for a while, now. New cars come standard with more systems each year. Anti-lock brakes, airbag sensors, onboard navigation, and now, automatic parallel parking have become the norm. And car makers keep on adding new, cutting edge tech to the mix - from advanced graphics processors and sensor systems, to the latest object recognition software and stereo cameras.

Pretty soon, in all major cities, you’ll be able to hop in a cab that has no steering wheel, no pedals - and no driver. Like a sci-fi movie. But, how does a self-driving car work, you ask? Let’s go into the matrix - A self-driving car uses a combo of sensors to see the road. Radar and cameras monitor other vehicles, read road signs and traffic lights and recognize pedestrians. Lidar - a light-based radar - bounces lasers off the car’s surroundings and creates a 3D map, in real time, accurate to the centimeter.
