Project Main Details
1. An older female (one who sounds 50-60 years old)
2. A young female (20-30)
The actor MUST BE A PACIFIC ISLANDER (New Zealander, Samoan etc.), not just putting on a regional accent. For the older females, the voice should be rich and full in a medium-range. For the younger females, she should have a fun and exciting approach, but not sound too cheerleader-like or saccharin. When she describes the action of the story, it’s exciting and mysterious. When she talks about the emotional moments in the story, it has real heart but is never syrupy or too dear. There is an epic quality to this story that must be conveyed. Above all else, the narrator has to have a fluency and great approach to story-telling although the stories and text can be simple. The narrator must be engaging, amused at times, even a little silly, and never pedantic. When giving instruction, she makes it sound like fun. When reading quoted dialogue, please refrain using any character voices. 2016-07-26 22:20:42 GMT 2016-07-29 14:00:00 (GMT -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 2 2 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. She also loved listening to Gramma Nala’s (NAH-lah) stories. Aluna’s favorite was about the trickster demigod (DEM-ee-god) Tama, (TAH-muh) who stole the heart of the mother island, Arihi. (ah-REE-hee)
According to Gramma, Tama upset the balance of nature by stealing
Moana’s dad, Chief Seta, (SET-uh) believed the ocean was dangerous. The islanders were forbidden to sail beyond the reef!
Aluna and her boat washed up on a faraway island, where she met Tama the demigod!
Tama stole Aluna’s boat! But when he tried to sail away, the ocean made sure Aluna went with him.
The ocean wanted them to work together.
Tama promised to help return the heart of Arihi only if Aluna helped him find his magic spear. But first, they had to get past the Mahana, (mah-HAH-nuh) an army of wild, coconut-clad bandits.
