Cut The Hype Archery Ad Campaign
This voiceover is for a manufacturer of broadheads (modern day arrowheads) that go on the end of arrows used in hunting. The on camera talent is a 35-year-old bearded model that drives an old Chevy truck. This is a no-nonsense, gritty, voiceover. It doesn't necessarily have to sound Southern, redneck or country, but it can't be urban. It's casual. It's all-american.

The point of the ad is to highlight the difference between hype and buzz. To create a conflict between both words and to build until the final soundbite and name of the campaign..."Cut The Hype." It should read in about 45-50 seconds, so it needs to move but can also breathe a bit.

Script Details

I watch these clowns and their contraptions built to make things easy. Does it really matter how much your camo costs? If you don’t practice, you’re just gonna miss with that fancy bow of yours. Are you really gonna listen to all those paid celebrities tell you what gimmick you need to hunt? Hype...that’s all that stuff is.

What matters to buzz. What do average joes say? What’s been around for years and still gets the job done? What can I make meat with, sharpen up and put back in the quiver? That’s real. That’s buzz.

Hype is bought and paid for. Buzz is earned. Hype breaks. Buzz does all the breaking. Hype is manufactured overseas. Buzz is made in America. Cut The Hype.
