Project Main Details

Weekly local PBS science show
WUCF, the PBS outlet for central Florida, is launching a weekly science and technology-themed show in late February. We're seeking a male VO talent for the series. Must have recording capability, preferably with phone patch. This is a long-term, weekly gig, so rates should reflect that.

We're looking for a voice that comes across as intelligent, curious and authoritative, but also accessible and personable. Able to explain complex topics in a freindly, non-threatening way.

Script Details

custom demo required
The Orion spacecraft is NASA's 21st-century manned spaceship. The capsule holds four drew members and is designed for deep space and ultimately, inter-planetary missions.

The spacecraft had its first test flight December 5, 2014. The four-hour flight was intended to test many of Orion's systems, including guidance and control, environmental and re-entry, all of which depend on brand new technology.

While the flight appeared an immediate success, only a painstaking "autopsy" of the spacecraft can reveal exactly how the systems operated, and identify problems that need to be addressed.

Dr. Joe Smith is leading the team that has been dissecting Orion sicne it arrived at the Kennedy Space Center in mid-January.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
