Script Details

Please read a portion from the script below for auditions.
Web Sites are arguably the most insecure and exploited internet technology. There are tons of web programming that allow for interacting with the user, much the same as YouTube or Facebook's programming works. This functionality sacrifices security. The ability to manipulate the user's browser or save files to their computer allows hackers and virus programmers to download their own viruses and trojans just by you visiting a web page.

Some popular websites, such as MySpace, are notorious platforms for exploitation that can infect a user's computer. MySpace pages allow for advanced customization by editing the page's CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) programming code. Allowing users to edit the page's code allows experienced programmers to add in malicious code snippets that can damage a user's computer.

Practically every feature a website allows can be exploited to deliver viruses, circumvent logins, steal your credit card numbers, and more. Web sites typically use a technology called "Cookies" to store your information when you go from page to page. These cookies can contain your username, password, IP address, credit card number, and more. Most cookies expire after a certain amount of time, but hackers can "spoof" cookies and make sites believe they are legitimate. This is a common way identity thieves grab your information.

It would be great to avoid all of this right? And having Norton or the latest internet security will fix it all, right? Wrong. Having internet security can definitely weed out MOST of the attacks, but there are literally unlimited ways to hack and circumvent anything. The best bet is to only visit sites you know and trust. It is also a good idea to only purchase from websites that use SSL. A certified SSL can be noted by a "locked" symbol in your browser.
