Project Main Details

Water Day
We need a voice over for a video showcasing our humanitarian efforts in disinfecting water in Peru. Should be male, 25 – 35, have a richly-textured voice and be a great story teller, in an understated way. Should be honest, believable, likable – salt of the earth type. (Morgan Freeman, Peter Coyote, Tom Selleck, F. Murray Abraham are all great models for this – except we are looking for younger). Should sound like a real person talking to the audience – not a newscaster. Not looking for announcer or ad types.

In a small town in the Tambo Grande region of northern Peru,
The day begins.
But this is a special day.
It’s water day.
So the townspeople gather their containers, their porongos
And carry them, by any means necessary
To the water distribution area.
And today is a good day.
The water truck has arrived.
The cistern is full.
And the villagers have a way to purify their water from microorganisms.[JW1]
And avoid diseases that, world wide, take the lives of 5000 children.
Like parts of Africa and Asia, South America is also plagued with unsafe water. It’s a leading cause of illness, malnutrition and death among children.
But help is here.
The CLOROX SAFE WATER PROJECT. The Clorox Company has joined with Prisma (a local NGO) and they’ve brought an unusually simple and wonderfully powerful solution.
A few drops of bleach — it turns out — can transform water…and lives.
It’s one of most effective disinfectants there is. And has a long history of safely treating water.
The people of the CLOROX SAFE WATER PROJECT install and supply bleach dispensers — that are designed to deliver just the right dose.
They also provide education about the importance of clean water and good health and hygiene practices.
With your support, we can take the CLOROX SAFE WATER PROJECT to more communities.*
And continue to help the children of the Tambo Grande be what we all hope they’ll be.
Healthy and happy kids.
