Walking Point Ty Johnson ZDLTK121380967302X
Inspired by true events. For the first time in American history, canines were trained and used in battle. Set in the 1940’s, this screenplay focuses on the bond between a group of donated dogs and their handlers, specifically a Doberman named Duke and youthful Private Markle. It portrays their travel by train from North Carolina to San Diego and eventually across the Pacific and into battle. Their travels to Guam lead to love, loss, and victory.
Ty Johnson, father of eight year old Johnny Johnson, is telling Johnny they can't keep their dog and have decided to donate him to the Marines to help in the war effort. Ty is a former Marine, stern but gently telling Johnny of this news. This is the first words in the movie trailer and must been read from the heart. Ty has a neutral accent, maybe a bit on the southern side. This is a twenty five second read approximately. Real script available.

He takes a deep breath.
TY JOHNSON (CONT'D)
Life is full of really hard decisions
son. Everyday is a new adventure
and with those adventures, both good
and bad, come decisions, both good
and bad. Sometimes those decisions
lead people to set things free.
Things that we love dearly, things
that we don't want to let go. And
when you have to let those things
go, you hope and pray son, that those
things come back to you.
