Project Main Details

Walk Safely MN
This is voice over for a slide video presentation for a Public school system about winter safety and not taking a fall when it's slippery in the winter. There are 2 parts, "Narrator" and "Mr B".

"Mr B" is a characature of a light hearted teacher, regular, but fun loving, kind of a fuddy duddy, but not an idiot.

"Narrator" will have the sound of a stearn coach like attitude mixed with the voice of dukes of hazard (waylon jennings) and how he interjected during that show.

Feel free to audition for both or just one.

good luck

Please be sure to read project description before auditioning!

Slide 1: Intro
Narrator: Hello and welcome to the Brainerd Public Schools’ guide to surviving winter in Minnesota.
Graphic: “Do’s & Don’ts” – Starring Mr. B!
Mr. B: “Hi Everybody!”

Slide 2-3: Proper Footwear
Narrator: It all starts with proper footwear.
Do NOT wear shoes with smooth bottoms. Traction is vital during a Minnesota winter.
Graphic: Mr. B Icon – Missing Teeth
Mr. B: “Dressing for looks just isn’t all it’s cracked up to be…”
Narrator: DO wear shoes with rubber soles and treads. A little tread can go a long way in keeping you on your feet this winter.

Slide 4-5: Eliminate Distractions
Narrator: DO NOT attempt multitasking while outside in the winter. Talking on your cell phone or fumbling with your iPod can distract you just enough to cause a major slip-up.
Graphic: Mr. B Icon – Neck Brace
Mr. B: “Ugh. Better call a sub.”
Narrator: DO eliminate all distractions and stay focused on getting to work safely. Paying a little extra attention can make a big difference.

Slide 6-7: Multitasking
Narrator: DO NOT attempt carrying too many items at once while on your way into work. Not only is it difficult, it also limits balance and mobility.
Graphic: Mr. B Icon – Head Bandage
Mr. B: “Turns out two trips wasn’t such a bad idea after all.”
Narrator: DO use a rolling suitcase, cart or backpack. These recommended tools allow you to safely carry your things while remaining prepared for anything winter may throw your way.
