More people live with disabilities than you might think.

- One in five Americans report having a disability
- 15 percent of the worldwide population has some kind of disability, and
- 2 to 4 percent of the worldwide population has a significant disability

As the world’s population ages, the numbers appear to increase.

Other volunteers have said they worry about interacting with people with disabilities. It’s natural to feel some fear or discomfort and to worry about saying or doing the wrong things around people.

We want you to feel comfortable working with everyone who is in our care. When you know what to do and say, you can help put others at ease.

In this 15-minute session, we'll share simple ways you can help make people feel welcome.
Let's start by defining what a disability is.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
