Project Main Details
The script is brief, just 5 lines. Booth was an actor with a flair for the dramatic, and his final interchange with his captors reflects this (the script is taken from Booth's actual dialogue with the Union Cavalry unit that was capturing him).
Booth grew up around Baltimore and cherished his southern roots, so he would have a slight (but not too heavy) southern accent.

If you’ll take your men fifty yards from the door, I’ll come out and fight you. Give me a chance for my life.

One more stain on the old banner!
Tell mother, I die for my country.
