Script Details

This character, EDGAR COLE, is an African American young man with a slight Texas accent.
So I was home, getting ready to go to church and listenin’ to the radio. And all of a sudden, the radio went flat. Then President Roosevelt; (softly, not too dramatic) “My fellow Americans,' he said, ”The Japanese have just attacked Pearl Harbor.” So in church, I thought about it, what that would mean to me. Because my country was at war and I didn’t want to sit back and let other people fight that war, I wanted to be part of that. So when I went home, I said “Daddy, I’m going into the service.” I knew I would eventually have to fight because it was a war for survival.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
