Project Main Details
Wellies — middle-class male villagers
Wellettes — middle-class female villagers
Bobbies — policemen — stoic, working-class, stereotypical bobbies
Doctors — well-educated, proper and a little menacing
Criers — little old lady busybodies who get suspicious and start shrieking on a hair trigger
These are lines that the villagers will say to the player. It’s very important that each line sound like an independent thought — don’t read them one after another. We’ll be wanting quite a few voices performing these lines.
These are conversations between the villagers that the player will overhear at one point or another — some between two men, or two women, or a man and a woman. Most are quite offhand, but some get a bit intense. (Auditions for these parts will be called after, please do mention if you can partner up with someone).
Because this is an Indie game, Budget is very limited, we cannot afford hiring a studio to get this recorded, so only people with home studio should audition for these roles.
We would need only people with Native Accents (please no fake accents).
These are the final line counts per NPC:
Wellies — 85 short lines: 460 words
Wellettes — 90 short lines: 490 words
Shopkeeper — 30 short lines: 154 words
Bobbies — 66 short lines: 340 words
Doctors — 66 short lines: 397 words
Criers — 54 short lines: 375 words 2015-01-26 16:33:53 GMT 2015-02-02 10:00:00 (GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 23 23 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Voice123 SmartCast is seeking 107 auditions and/or proposals for this project (approx.) Invitations sent by SmartCast have resulted in 23 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far.
Please only mp3 files, and only 1 file per character you are auditioning (you can audition for more than 1 character). Per character we are asking to audition 4 stages of interaction: Cheery, Suspicious (character thinks the player is up to something), Aggressive (ready to attack you) and Attack (remember they are in a village, so the attacks we are looking for are more of heroic citizens, rather than action heroes, imagine old lady hitting with with her purse/umbrella).
These 4 stages are each of the 4 lines in the same order:
Wellies and Wellettes:
-Lovely day for it!
-Everything all right?
-What are you doing?
-I won't let you bring me down!
-How can I help you? (Cheery)
-What are you doing here? Get out! (Aggressive)
-Lovely day for it.
-Nothing to see 'ere, move along.
-Oi you! Stop that at once!
-I won't 'ave it!
-Good day to you.
-Are you quite all right?
-You're not a Downer, are you?
-Don't struggle, this won't hurt a bit
-Fancy a cuppa?
-Do I know you? I know everybody, but I don't remember you.
-You stop that right now or I'll call the police!
-ELP! 'ELP! HE'S OFF HIS MEDS! HEEEEELLLLP!
