Project Main Details

Video editorial of Social Star Awards 2013
The video is an online editorial edit of the Social Star Awards which was held in Singapore and we require a lively and fun read, though not too casual and informal as we are recapping the events.

We are going for a more entertainment news style.

Below are the links to hear the pronunciations of Mandarin names:

Other non-English pronunciations (mostly of names) are placed in square brackets within the script.

On 23rd of May 2013 [read as twenty thirteen], some of the biggest names in music converge on the sunny isle of Singapore for the inaugural Social Star Awards. The awards ceremony, billed as the Oscars of social media, is co-hosted by Emmy and Golden Globe Awards winner, Jeremy Piven, and Hollywood actress Jessica Alba.

Known by their YouTube username name, TheSunnyCoastSkate [read as The Sunny Coast Skate], the Australian teenagers who parodied the Harlem Shake dance style never expected for their video to spark an online frenzy and will be giving their first-ever 'live' performance of the dance during the awards ceremony.

First attracting attention with her video submission to Justin Bieber's online singing content, Overly Attached Girlfriend has gone on to make a name for herself with her covers of famous songs, complete with creative and often creepy lyrics depicting an [slight pause]... overly [emphasis "overly"] attached girlfriend.

Rock legend Aerosmith pleased the crowd with the well-loved theme song from the movie Armageddon, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing", amongst others. The Bad Boys from Boston also invited Japanese beatboxer and well-known YouTube artist, Hikakin [read as hee-ka-kin], to beatbox to their song, "Walk This Way".
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
