Project Main Details
The audition script below is for Nate, a student veteran who has already faced challenges on campus and wants to be a mentor to other veterans making the transition from combat to classroom.
What we need is someone who can sound warm, conversational, serious, knowledgeable... and someone who takes direction well. Since the bulk of dialogue in this project will be between two characters (as opposed to narration), our characters MUST sound natural and conversational.
If you're interested in auditioning, please submit a demo. If your demo sounds like what we're looking for, we'll send you an audition script.

NATE: …I just assumed that all this stress was part of college, and I told myself to push through it. Except I didn’t come out the other side of the stress. There was no “other side.” Things just kept piling up… I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to hang out with anyone. I told myself it was because I was too busy, but now I know that I was afraid. Afraid they’d think I was a coward or a failure if they knew how much I was struggling. Lucky for me, some of my buddies noticed anyway… and they convinced me to get some help.
HECTOR: Weren’t you, like… embarrassed to get help? I mean, you were kicking in doors in Fallujah… and you had to talk to a shrink about feeling worried?
NATE: Me? Yeah, I was embarrassed. I thought my life was over. But after a while I realized I was the only one who felt that way. It’s like… I kept expecting my buddies to bust my balls about it, y’know, call me a pussy or whatever, but… that never happened. I mean, okay, we joked about it a little, but mostly they were just glad—really glad—that I was doing better.
