Suppose you are cooking dinner for the President of the United States tomorrow night – I assume that you would want to prepare some tasty little dish that is fit for a king. Now, once you spend hours preparing the food, you would not serve it to Mr. President on dirty plates with peanut butter crusted forks and spoons, would you? No! You’d make sure everything was clean.
Repentance is really not that different. You are preparing a place in your heart for THE KING to come in and live inside of you. Repentance merely cleans up your heart so Christ can move in.
