Urban Health PSA Campaign DOCTOR 
These auditions are for a series of Public Service Announcements which will be distributed to urban radio stations nationwide. We are casting for several roles including:

Narrator: African American male or female, middle aged

Man in Doctor's office: middle aged African American male, natural, casual sounding

Kids: Short line, 5-8 year olds

Doctor: Authoritative, yet calm middle aged African American Woman.

PSA #2: “Don’t Slip”

*Narrator: African American male or female, authoritative 35-45.

Line for audition:
Are you trying to quit smoking? Did you “slip” and have a smoke? Wait. Don’t give up. Don’t let one “slip” stop you on the road to better health. Set a new quit date and get back on track.

PSA #3: “For Them”

•Man: 30-40s African American male, natural, casual sounding

•Kid: 5-8 year olds

•Narrator: Male or female, African-american middle aged.

Line for audition:

Man: I feel great. But here’s the deal: the doctor just told me I have high blood pressure. And the kicker? The high blood pressure can lead to heart disease, a stroke…or worse.

Kid: Come on Daddy, let’s go.

Narrator: You can feel perfectly health and have high blood pressure, so make sure you get your blood pressure checked regularly. And if it’s too high, talk to your doctor and make sure you understand the options.

PSA #5: “Screeching Halt”


•Narrator: Middle Aged African American male, very VoiceOver-ish sounding

•Doctor: authoritative, yet calm sounding, middle aged African American woman.

Line for audition:
Narrator: So you just out you have high cholesterol. The doctor’s told you to exercise more, eat healthier, and start taking medicine. Any cholesterol medicine will do, they’re all the same.

[clears throat] As I was saying, not all cholesterol medicines are the same. A new guide from the....

Doctor: [correcting the incorrect VO read] Now voiceover guy, that’s not true and you shouldn’t be giving out bad information. Not all cholesterol medicines are the same, and your listeners should know how to learn more about them.
