Script Details

We are looking for a serious voice
In Sahel, one in five children die of starvation before the age of five, but most of the world is unaware of this. What people are aware of, however, is how to check-in to a restaurant on Facebook.

So how do we get the children’s crisis in Sahel to reach a new level of global awareness?
We give them a chance to create a positive change through social media by checking into a restaurant on Facebook.
Here’s how it works:

When you sign up on the Unicef Sahel Facebook page, you will receive an invite for the Sahel Food for Thought table along with a menu that provides information on the crisis as well as how to share it.

The next time you go to a restaurant and check-in, it will automatically change your status and reserve you a seat at the Sahel Food for Thought table on Facebook.

The page will then alert your phone, asking you if you’d like to share your check-in with other Facebook friends, family or local representatives.

The Sahel Food for Thought reservation list is Unicef’s petition to take action against the crisis and before March 9th, World Hunger Day, the goal is to have over 1 million reserved seats. The last seat will be saved for a government official to show their support for the cause.

People are already checking-in to restaurants, but we’ve now made it so their actions online can make just as much of an impact on the children’s crisis in Sahel as their actions offline.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
