Project Main Details
Speaks 14 times (100%) for a total of 853 words (100%).
I expect the film to run anywhere from fifteen to twenty-five minutes.
There is a specific narrator, possibly a man or a woman, age appropriate for the seriousness of the words to follow, a speaker intent on setting a tone for what the viewer will come to witness as a death march, and it is hoped, be present with compassion and understanding for what is precious in our personal individual acts of living. It is a voice of authority, with kindness posed, and with less doubt, showing force and sacrifice in these spoken words.
This is a mixed-media low budget independent film. It is the third short film in a series of short films combining poetry and film by the poet M Sarki. The films will be submitted to select film festivals and also offered for sale at some point.
The voice over person selected for this project will be granted points of 10% of all profit made from this specific film. The film is not expected to make any profits. The film is being made for art's sake. Only dedicated and interested parties need apply. The pay for this part is $100 paid upon receipt of finished fourteen voice files needed for fourteen scenes. 2011-01-10 15:55:03 GMT 2011-01-16 15:00:00 (GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 0 0 17 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. SCENE I, EXT. FOURTH STREET, DAY
CAMERA PANS IN COLOR ACROSS WIG SHOP, FASHION SHOP, AND BLOCK OF STORES. IT IS OBVIOUSLY A DEPRESSED SECTION OF A DOWNTOWN AREA IN A LARGE CITY. THESE ARE FOLLOWED BY TWO COLOR STILLS OF THE WIG SHOP AND FASHION STORE WHILE THE NARRATOR SPEAKS.
The lamplight crows its insolence. Before me rest two chairs. They appear not to be for sitting. A woman from the market has removed her clothes. She emits some radiance never witnessed before. And the crowd that multiplies makes standard her procedures. She is determined to satisfy, if not the hoard of onlookers then at least the man she came for. Not once do I lose her eyes staring at me, directing my leave of the audience. Crafting disbelief into miracle.
SCENE XIII, INT.,APARTMENT, ANOTHER DAY
CAMERA ON HOLE IN STREET.
Seen from the apartment window the repair of the hole and the correct placing of the steel lids in order to stop the terrible clanging.
On the last day he measured rope. And shortened it. There was nothing she could do. Some accused him of losing his mind. Others didn’t. It was his life, they said. There were too many rocks in it. He remembered the ice of Lake Huron. The pier and Red Cross. The incessant push his mother made while strangling him.
