Project Main Details
I have built a piece of software for Windows called ********************************* - that that makes it easy for parents to limit how much time their kids spend on the computer. The software lets parents set time limits, like "2 hours per day". It then plays audible reminders to the child like "5 minutes left" and logs them off when their time runs out. I need someone to record the following phrases that will be played individually at the appropriate times:
30 minute left
15 minutes left
5 minutes left
1 minutes left
The phrases above are English, of course, but I'd like to hear them in the target language. I'm not a translator, so I'll leave that up to you. These phrases are heard after a chime plays to get the child's attention. The voice then speaks the simple phrase to let the child know how much time remains before they will be forcibly logged off the computer.
I want the voice to sound warm, friendly, helpful, and supportive. Maybe like an elementary school teacher or mother. It should be firm, but not mean or too stern. I want the voice to sound natural, not like a performance with exaggerated qualities. Because the voice will be heard several times a day by the child, it should not be too much of anything or it will get annoying to listen to. It shouldn't be too happy, too enthusiastic, too stern, etc. But at the same time it shouldn't sound robotic or flat. The voice needs to enunciate the words clearly or else the child won't clearly hear the key part, which is the number of minutes they have left. The kids age range spans from about 8 to 15. I'd like a woman's voice because the higher pitch will be easier to hear over the din of video games. I don't want a voice that is squeaky high or masculine/low. A "typical" woman's voice is best.
I will attempt to upload a voice sample from the English that I chose.
I'd like to receive the original high quality WAV files. It can be a single file if that is easier for you, but leave a couple seconds of space between the phrases so I can cut them out.
I'd like to use ONE version of the French recordings and have it work for both Canada and France. In other words, I don't want a Canadian to be annoyed by the accent and vice-versa. If that isn't possible (I'm not familiar with French) let me know. 2009-12-14 14:49:46 GMT 2009-12-18 13:00:00 (GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 3 3 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Voice123 SmartCast is seeking 20 auditions and/or proposals for this project (approx.) Invitations sent by SmartCast have resulted in 3 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far.
