In January 2010, a young Stanford student -- Tenzin Seldon – received a surprising visitor.
[BREAK FOR INTERVIEW CLIP]
Tenzin is a leading member of the Free Tibet movement – a second generation exile, living in the United States.
She lives six thousand miles from Mainland China.
But in today’s wired world, nowhere – and no one -- is safe.
Individuals like Dhondup Wangchen.
Three years ago, Dhondup took a home video camera across Tibet asking people their opinions about Chinese rule, the country’s spiritual leader the Dalai Lama – and the upcoming Olympics.
Dhondup was not a professional journalist. He was a private citizen, a regular guy who wanted to capture the truth about his beloved country.
Dhondup’s search for answers came at a high price. On March 28th 2008 – as anti-Chinese riots convulsed Tibet – he was arrested, an enemy of the Chinese state.
