We are producing a series of three commercials for the new Subaru WRX, which is that company's rally-inspired sport car. The three spots link together to tell one continuous story whose look is influenced by Hong Kong action films, martial arts films like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," and American action blockbuster films such as "The Island." At the end of each spot, just before the end tag, we need a simple line of VO: "The all-new Subaru Impreza WRX." We want it to be dramatic and powerful, but not too deep or too forceful. We will consider both female and male voices, and slight accents are ok too. We will use the same VO that we eventually select on all three spots. Basically, we want something cool to go with the very cutting edge visuals, as you can see in the clips provided of the first two spots. These clips (attached)already have a VO that was deemed too deep by the client. Everything on these clips, including sound design, music and visual, is final but for the VO.
These ads will appear online and on US TV, but the budget is not huge. Then again, it's not a difficult job to record!
