Project Main Details

The turducken of newspapers
This is a 30-second radio spot to promote the publication changes/additions taking place in the Tampa Bay Times. Think funny to borderline ridiculous. But ridiculous taking itself seriously.

V1 is really serious about what he/she is saying. V2 thinks V1 is kind of insane but then realizes he/she makes a point. ANNC is very serious too - in spite of having to say the phrase "turducken of newspapers."

Note: "2014" is "twenty-fourteen" and "Pulitzer" is "Puh-litzer" (not "Pew-litzer").

Script Details

custom demo required
V1: Have you heard of a turducken?

V2: A chicken inside a duck inside a turkey?

V1: Yes. That’s what the Tampa Bay Times is doing with their weekly community newspapers.

V2: What?

V1: On Fridays the Times publishes a section that’s so full of neighborhood news, prep sports and things to do that it’s like a newspaper INSIDE a newspaper.

V2: Great, now I’m hungry.

V1: Well then be sure to check out the deals and discounts from businesses – and restaurants – in your community in MarketLink on Sundays.

ANNC: Tampa Bay Times, the 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winning turducken of newspapers.
