The University ZDLTK152035216608X
I'm in production on a student experimental documentary which is in desperate need of voice-over talent. The film centers around several different "memoirs" or written accounts of alumni's time spent at a certain unnamed University. Each of the stories will all be told using different voice-overs. The particular story that I'm working on is a first-person account rather than an omniscient narrator. The voiceover should be something of a cross between a monologue and reading aloud (perhaps something by Dostoevsky or Bret Easton Ellis). The character him/herself is cynical and work-centric, his world is crumbling because no matter how hard he tries, his efforts are all in the wrong directions. I've attached a script, which is approx. 1600 words. Unfortunately, as this is a student production I am working with a budget that reflects that.

A pizza box with the word delicious printed on it is propped outside the door to my apartment today, and although the box is probably empty it still brings back all that happened: Anita, the University, the twilight of my real ambition and my introduction to The Hard Truth.
In my Junior year I transferred from the School of Liberal Arts to the Conservatory of Music, a goal achieved after two unsuccessful attempts, 2 years spent treading water with my friends at the University. At the time I saw it as a long time coming. One puts in X amount of effort, one shall yield X amount of benefit, and so on. But still, I always had regarded the Musicians at the University with a kind of distant awe, considering they had so quickly accomplished what had taken me 3 years.
Despite my entry into the elite alternate dimension where one goes to class to study something that interests them, I still imagined my return would be populated by the familiar dormitories, my large circle of tight-knit friends (Anita being the closest of course), and the food that tasted the same all year round. And for a while at least, it was.
