Project Main Details
HAL- Hal is a likeable white male in his mid to late 30’s with a tiny bit of an
edge to him. He’s not the most polished guy in the world. He has more street smarts than book smarts and he comes off as being very credible. Think Jason Lee, not Earl, or John Corbett.

HAL: What in the heck are you doing hunting quail with a cannon, you might ask.
Exactly what the big national cell carriers are doing in Central Kentucky. Not getting
the job done. You see, like this cannon, they’re big. They make a lot of noise. But
they’re not always on target. (CANON GOES OFF. SFX. BOOM! NOW HE STARTS TALKING
LOUD). Good thing we have Bluegrass Cellular. Not only are they cheaper minute-forminute.
They’ve invested more here in Central Kentucky than anyone else – so their
network works. (HIS PHONE VIBRATES, HE TAKES IT OUT OF HIS POCKET) Glad I have my
phone on vibrate. I probably won’t be able to hear for a week.

OPEN ON OUR GUY SITTING ON A PORCH SWING WITH A BIG CAKE, A HAT AND SOME
BALLOONS. HE BEGINS TALKING TO CAMERA.
HAL: Does the expression “Have your cake and eat it, too” confuse the dickens out
of you as much as it does me? I mean, why else would you have cake? That’s how I
feel about those big national cell carriers. Why can’t they give you a lower price and
better performance? Bluegrass Cellular does. Not only are they cheaper mInute-forminute
