Project Main Details

Tek Sci Vox01
*******************************************************seeks voice-over talent for a promotional video we are currently creating for our company, as well as future projects that we will be producing over the summer.

We create training videos for the life science industry. We seek voices that are corporate/professional, authoritative and friendly. The voice should sound about 30-40 years old.

Our audience is comprised of research scientists: intelligent conservatives who seek easily understandable information (not entertainment) from our products.

An example of the type of DELIVERY that we're looking for is:

Please note that it is the delivery (without the deadpan humor) that we are interested in. We actually want vocal timbres that are decidedly different from this. (We don't want to have the same type of voice for all of our videos.) Quality female vocal talents are especially encouraged to reply (because it is more difficult to hear deep voices over cheap internet headphones). We prefer middle American accents, but we may accept educated (genuine) English accents as well.

We will provide a script and an .mp3 "scratch vocal track" of how we want the words read (so there are no pronunciation/pacing problems.) You will replace the “scratch vocal track” with your vocal performance. The recording will be at 48kHz, in mono (not stereo), and a .wav format. You will email us three “good takes” when you are finished.

Recordings should be made on a quality condenser mic, at a location with unnoticeable background noise and reverb.

We will handle all postproduction (eq, compression, music, etc)
We will pay 25% up front and the remainder upon final delivery via PayPal.

Fee will depend on your experience, quality of your sample, and the size of the project. We can not afford union rates at this time.

If we are interested in hiring you, we will contact you several weeks before the submission date. We look forward to hearing from you.
