Thank you for calling *******************
2 ******************* has many convenient appointment times available. Please leave a message with your name, phone number, and what days and times are convenient for you.
For example, perhaps weekday evenings after 7 pm are best, or maybe only Saturday mornings before noon will work for you. If you have a specific date and time in mind, let us know and we will try to accommodate it. Within 24 hours of leaving your message, we will call you back with an appointment confirmation.
Please press 1 to be transferred to our answering machine to leave your message. And thank you for calling *******************.
3 ******************* is a unique tax service. We make house calls. We believe the process to complete your tax return should be as convenient as possible. We also believe you deserve quality attention from a qualified tax professional.
With other tax services you need to go to them, and often they are in out of the way places,
You need to wait endlessly in their waiting room, and then when you finally have your appointment with their tax professional, they rush you through and mass produce your tax return, wrapping everything up in less time than the time you spent waiting in their waiting room.
And worst of all, they charge excessive fees for a tax return that was barely reviewed.
With *******************, we come to you, at a time convenient to you. Here is how our service works:
You call to schedule an appointment. We confirm a date and time with you. Prior to the appointment you start gathering the documents needed to prepare your tax return, and we can give you a list of documents you should gather.
At the appointment time, a member from our team will come to your home to meet you and to gather your tax information. We will review your documents and ask you a series of questions. We want to make sure that your tax return is prepared taking every tax cut available to you.
We will then leave your house and start preparing your return. All of your information is maintained with strict security to ensure your privacy. We don’t prepare your tax return on the spot because you don’t want a rush job. We employ a through quality control process to prepare and review your return to ensure its done right. Your tax return is reviewed by a Certified Public Accountant, providing you with the highest level of professionalism available.
Typically within 3 or 4 days of your initial appointment we will call you to discuss your completed return. During this call we will schedule a 2nd appointment to bring you your completed documents. Again, we come to you for this appointment.
At this 2nd appointment, we will provide you with your copy of your tax return. We will review your return with you and answer any questions you may have. It is not until this time that we collect payment for our services from you.
We offer free electronic filing so there is no need to mail your return. With your permission we will electronically transmit your return to the IRS and to the State that night. This enables you to receive your tax refund typically within 2-3 weeks. When we transmit your tax return, we use only IRS approved software that will encrypt your information to ensure your privacy. Of course, if you prefer to mail your return, we can provide you with a completed copy to mail to the IRS.
But our service does not end there. If at any time during the year you have a tax related question or concern, we are always only a phone call away.
• Our fees for services are very reasonable. For more information on our fees, please press 1.
• If you would like to schedule an appointment, please press 2.
• If you have more questions and would like additional information on our service, please press 3.
3 Fees vary depending on the actual forms needed for your particular tax situation, but for a typical married couple, with wages, interest income, and itemized deductions, the fee is $139. This includes both the Federal and State returns and electronic filing. Additional forms, if needed, are typically 5-10 dollars per form.
If you schedule an appointment by February 28th, we are offering a $10 discount.
******************* doesn’t sell unneeded services in an attempt to raise our fees. We only provide quality tax return preparation services at very reasonable rates. Your satisfaction with our services is guaranteed.
• If you would like to hear this message about our prices again please press 1.
• If you would like to schedule an appointment, please press 2.
• If you have more questions and would like additional information on our service, please press 3.
4 Gathering all your documents for your tax appointment may seem like a big task, but don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be stressful. With ******************* you don’t have to worry about leaving any important documents at home. Since we come to you, as long as the document is in your home we can wait while you look for it. But of course it’s better if you can gather as many of your tax related documents in advance of your appointment. Typically here is what you need:
For each job, you should have received a W-2 from the employer showing total wages earned
If you received Social Security benefits during the year you should have received a 1099-SSA form showing total benefits received.
Same goes if you received Unemployment Benefits, you should have received a statement from the State showing total benefits received during the year.
If you worked as an independent contractor and received more than $600 from any one client, that client should have sent you a 1099 form showing the total you received.
For each of your bank accounts, you should have received a 1099-INT form showing total interest earned.
If you received any dividend or sold any stock during the year, you should have received a 1099 form reporting related amounts to these transactions.
That covers most of the income related documents, now lets talk about other important records you should have:
If you pay a mortgage you should have received a 1098 form from the mortgage company showing the total interest paid. Same goes if you have a home equity loan or a student loan, you should have received a 1098 form showing total interest paid on these loans.
If you pay union dues, add up the total paid during the year as this amount is deductible.
Interest paid on credit cards, auto loans, and other personal loans are not deductible so you won’t receive a year end statement from any of these companies. But take a few minutes to review your monthly credit card statements for any tax-deductible expenses, such as contributions made to charities, school expenses for either you or your dependent, work related expenses, or medical bills such as payments to doctors or pharmacies. Make a list of these items.
Review your checkbook register to look at all checks you wrote during the year. Again look for things like contributions, work or school expenses, daycare, medical or insurance payments. Make a list of these items. For some of them a copy of the canceled check may be needed to take the deduction.
Gathering these documents should be enough to get you started. If you come across anything and are not sure if it is deductible or not, set it aside and we can discuss it during your appointment.
• If you would like to return to the beginning of this message, please press 1. Other wise you may hang up to end this call.
• If you have a questions concerning your appointment, please press 2
5 Your call is very important to us. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. Thanks and have a great day!
