Terry: Good evening, I’m Terry Gross. Today my guest is popular dinosaur, Tyrannosaurus Rex. T, you guys have been extinct for millions of years, but now you and 23 other dinos have come back to take part in Dinosaurs Alive at Brookfield Zoo. Why now?
TRex: I will say, extinction wasn’t at all the way they sold it in the brochure. I thought I could use the break after dominating the earth for millennia. I guess I got restless. I can’t exactly take up golfing with these arms, so the zoo seemed fun. Plus, my kid really wanted to see a lemur. So that’s a perk.
Terry: (laughs) Sure. Anything special we should look out for?
TRex: Actually, yeah. I brought a couple feathered dinosaurs. You guys just discovered them. But I’ve known them a long time. They’re delicious.
Terry: Oh my.
TRex: I’m kidding of course.
Terry: (chuckles) Thanks for talking with us.
TRex: My pleasure, Terry.
Terry: You can see Tyrannosaurus and 23 of his ferocious friends at Brookfield Zoo in Dinosaurs Alive now through October 27th where they’ll move, make noise and amaze the whole family. Buy a Zooper Fun Pass and you can visit the zoo all year. For more information visit BrookfieldZoo.org.
