Sustainability Brands Contest 2
Fast paced video showing the excessive waste in water usage while trying to maintain clean floors. I know this sounds ridiculous but wait till you read the script, pretty disturbing. Just need excitement and disbelief I guess. The whole script is below

Script Details

I know this sounds ridiculous but wait till you read the script, pretty disturbing. Just need excitement and disbelief I guess. The whole script is below
“How our entrenched beliefs have blinded us”

What do the following establishments have in common? What do they have do on a daily basis to make sure the customers and employees have a quality experience when visiting their location.

They all have to clean.

Our calculation, and these are minimums, show that filling a mop bucket with 3 gallons of water and chemicals happens over 650,000 times a day

Just in the Fast Food industry alone, with 160,000 location, which mop both the kitchen and dinning room, the industry uses over 1 BL gallons of water every year just in floor care.

Throw in the other industries and households we use over 7 billion gallons a year mopping our floors. That is equivalent to the the filling the Empire State Building, which is102 stories, over 37 million cubic feet, with water water, a whooping 26 times

If they follow instructions and rinse after mopping. We are actually misusing enough water to to fill the Empire State Building from top to bottom 52 times. And extraordinary amount of water and doing what?

The Unintended Consequence

We mop to clean and yet we actually pollute

Most will agree that mopping simply smears dirt and grease across the floor, yet mopping is the number one tool of choice when we think of floor care. The fact is, the more you mop the dirtier your floor will become,

It takes as little as 3 weeks of moping to turn grout from the original color to black.

Just look down when you’re out and about and you will see dirty or black grout everywhere. It’s bad enough that in 2013 we have dirty floors but to be blindly causing it while wasting a value resource is a completely different matter.

And it gets worse! In our misguided efforts to clean our floors we are not only making them dirtier but also making them dangerous. Dirty, unsafe floor conditions contribute to over 50 percent of all slip and fall accidents which is now the leading cause of workers comps claims in the restaurant industry and the number one reason for emergency room visits.

By maintaining a clean floor condition from implementing an effective scrub and mop protocol we can finally acquire the Intended Results disrupting almost all industries from using excessive amounts of water in their failing attempts at floor care leading to a `cleaner, safer, environment for your customers, employees and not to mention our children.

The Heavyweight Scrub Brush, a game changer when it comes to being green.
