Project Main Details

Supply Unchained
This is a corporate video detailing how organizations can find solutions to human trafficking issues that often plague supply chains. It should be serious but also caring and conversational. Many younger consumers are becoming more aware of these issues and are increasingly putting their purchasing power behind fair labor products.

On March 25th, 1911 a fire at the **************************************************************** In the aftermath of this tragedy, reforms and regulations were put in place to protect the labor force from abuse.

But despite the efforts made since that terrible day, many of the products that currently line shelves across the country are produced, in part, through forced labor.

With increasing numbers of socially conscious consumers and investors, no company wants to be in the uncomfortable position of standing still while the veil is lifted on labor abuse within its supply chain.

And as the size and intricacy of supply chains increase, it becomes more and more likely that criminality can enter into the picture and create a disruption.

Businesses can’t afford to wait for government intervention to solve this complicated problem. While there is no silver bullet solution, progress not perfection is the name of the game. And with a few guiding principles businesses can position themselves in front of the problem.

Become more transparent. Utilizing QR codes can be an effective way share information with customers about where products came from and who made them.

Collaborate with a broad set of value chain participants. Including workers, competitors, and consumers in the solution development process will help to overcome the challenges that will surely arise.

Harness available technologies to gather information. Data visualization offers great potential to identify and communicate problem areas, as well as to keep customers informed.

To work towards a solution for labor abuse in their supply chains, companies must commit to continuous, incremental progress.

Prioritizing the prevention of human rights violations allows organizations to open an important dialogue with empowered consumers, preserve the integrity of their supply chains, and protect their brand identity.

But most importantly, it’s the right thing to do, and that is always good for business.
