Getting ready.
Wash your hands with soap and water and make sure you are working on a clean, flat surface. Remove the applicator from the sealed wrapper.
DO NOT remove the twist-off cap at this time.
Step 1: Preparing your applicator
Grip the applicator firmly by the thick end. To ensure that the contents are at the thin end, shake the applicator like a thermometer. Next, twist the tab off and discard it.
Step 2: Administration
Be in a sitting position or lie on your back with knees bent before gently inserting the end of the applicator well into the vagina. Press the thick end of the applicator firmly to deposit the gel. Remove the applicator.
Discard the used applicator into a waster container.

Getting ready
Be sure to have all of the following items before you begin.
“IU” will be read as individual alphabets
One vial of Pergoveris 150 IU or 75 IU, one vial of sterile water, one syringe, one long needle for reconstitution, one short needle for administration, alcohol swabs, sterile gauze and bandage, and a safety container.
Check that the Pergoveris diluent is clear and colourless. Do not use if the solution is cloudy, discoloured, or if it contains particles.
Wash your hands with soap and water, and make sure you are working on a clean, flat surface.
Step 1: Mix
Using your thumb, flip the protective caps of the vial of Pergoveris powder and the vial of diluent. Wipe the top of the vials with an alcohol swab.
Remove the wrapping from the syringe and from the long reconstitution needle. Twist the reconstitution needle onto the syringe. Carefully pull or twist off the needle cap.
Draw air into the syringe by pulling back the plunger to approximately the 1 ml or 1 cc marking.
Place the vial of the diluent on a hard, flat surface. Carefully insert the needle through the marked center circle of the rubber stopper and into the vial of sterile
Gently press on the syringe plunger. This will allow air to enter the vial and will make withdrawing the solution easier. Without removing the needle, invert the vial and slowly pull the plunger as far back as needed to withdraw the entire contents of the vial into the syringe.
To withdraw as much of the solution as possible, make sure the tip of the needle remains in the diluent by slowing backing the needle out of the vial.
Place the vial containing the Pergoveris powder on a hard, flat surface. Insert the same needle through the marked center circle of the rubber stopper into the vial.
Slowly inject the sterile water into the vial of Pergoveris powder by pressing down on the plunger. Without removing the needle from the vial, gently rotate the vial between your fingers until all of the powder is dissolved.
Do not shake the vial.
Without removing the needle, invert the vial and slowly pull back the plunger as far back as needed to withdraw the entire contents of the vial into the syringe.
Remove the needle and the syringe from the vial. Re-cap the reconstitution needle and remove the needle by twisting it off the syringe.
Discard the used needle in a safety container.
Remove the wrapper from the shorter administration needle. Twist the administration needle onto the syringe.
To remove any air bubble in the syringe, press the plunger slightly until a small drop of solution appear at the tip of the needle. Re-cap the needle.
Step 2: Inject
Choose the injection site as directed by your healthcare provider. Alternate the injection site each day.
Clean the recommended injection site with an alcohol swab. Let it air dry before removing the cap from the injection syringe.
Hold the syringe in one hand -- the way you would hold a pencil -- and use your other hand to pinch the skin around the injection site.
Insert the entire length of the needle into your skin at an upward angle of 45 to 90 degrees.
Once the needle is inserted, release your pinched skin and push the plunger in a slow and steady motion until all the medication is injected.
Gently withdraw the needle and apply pressure to the injection site with a sterile gauze pad.
Discard the used syringe and needle in a safety container .
