Spoken Word piece to be put to music

This will be used as a Spoken Word poem with music piece. It will be featured on my myspace page.
There are two parts to this script. The first should be read with little enthusiasm. The second as if you are excited. It's basically the story of two people going to the same concert but having two different angles.

I decided to check out a new band in town called Optimism. The venue was only 1/2 it's capacity. There were many open seats.
Promotion could have been much better. I only knew about this show because I was there the night before.
Security was pretty much non-existent was the crowd was tight against the stage for the entire show.
At one point the singer had to refer to a piece of paper to remember the lyrics to a song.
The band must have run out of original songs because the closed with a cover tune.
I should have stayed home. Pretty sure this band won't be back here anytime soon.

This was a secret show. The band was billed under a pseudo-name "Optimism". Fortunately my buddy had an inside scoop and informed..
Only a couple hundred people were there.
I was able to get closer to the band then ever before. They handed me guitar picks a couple times during the show
They played a song that they just wrote earlier that day about the importance of caucusing for the election. It was amazing.
For the encore they played a killer cover tune that blew everyone away.
I'm so happy I was there. Pretty sure this band won't be back here anytime soon. Portion of the script provided for audition purposes only:
