Script Details

The script is not final. If you can record a scratch track sample that would be great.

The read should be warm documentary.
This is Christina Marules daily routine. Even at the age of 65 she opens her little shop in Mafarafare every morning. Here, in one of the remotest parts of South Africa, these so-called Spaza shops assure the supply of bread and other essential provisions. Her shop is Christina´s passion, she keeps it meticulously clean.

Stock replenishment is difficult and expensive for Christina. In the past, she had to buy goods in the nearest town, a day’s trip back and forth.
These two men have changed Christinas life. Ishmael Adams and Simon Motumi are Infopreneurs. As part of the European Comission funded project Collaboration @Rural, they helped to build a mobile delievery system. Spaza shop owners can send their orders as text messages to the Infopreneurs. They place bulk orders at the suppliers. With this the Spaza shop owners receive better prices. The savings are used to deliver the goods directly to the Spaza shops.
Today, Christina with no address, no bank account and no credit line can place an order with her cell phone, have it delievered and pay at the end of the month.
A great improvement for Christina - and for her customers.
