Project Main Details
This brand will come with a back-story that creates a funny (but fake) "heritage". We want the consumer to almost (but not quite) believe that his heritage is true. The brand is a humorous one but not goofy. Full details and script will be provided after audition.
The commercial will be produced in a Ken Burns historical documentary style (e.g. old photos of Mexican village, old maps & imagery)
Rich deep voice, and a strong Spanish (preferably Mexican) accent. Somewhat like Heineken’s "The World's Most Interesting Man", but Mexican, stronger accent. Should have a historical documentary narration style.
The voice should be a proud, serious one (have gravitas!), read like a documentary style describing historic events. The narrator should not sound like he knows that the story is funny (play it straight). He should act like it’s a very noble/serious story of his heritage.
Spanish accent should still be understandable for English speakers across the United States:
Make words that begin with the letter “H” at least somewhat Anglicized so they’re easier to understand for an English audience (e.g. "head held high").
Pay attention to plural words like “hundreds” (pronouce the “s” at the end) 2012-06-04 17:30:37 GMT 2012-06-10 22:00:00 (GMT -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 0 0 76 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Of course you are probably already familiar with the legend I am about to tell – about a village in its darkest moment – and the champion who saved them.
Many, many years ago, in my Great Grandfather's village... the spring rains had washed away the fertile hillsides where the best Agave grew, along with the only road out of town. The villagers had been without Tequila for almost… two weeks.
As the villagers neared hopelessness, something coming down the steep hillside caught their eyes. A glint of sunlight reflecting on metal... and slow movement through the sagebrush... it may have just been a mirage or the wind... but no. The villagers cried out in amazement with what appeared in their town square. It was… a donkey. But not a regular donkey, amigo. There were shining tequila barrels on his back. And there was something… enchanted about it.
