Project Main Details

Southern Camp Branding Piece
The project is a short (45 second) introduction to a longer piece about a summer camp in Western North Carolina. The video starts with a segment filmed at a family's house, building a juxtaposition between busy and stressful modern home life, and the relaxing nature of the camp. The voiceover material is used to build this juxtaposition through the writing of the script, which will be read in the voice of an older figure commenting on how his childhood wasn't like this, and that societally we are heading in the wrong way and pushing our boys into too much schooling, equipping them with too many electronics, and generally making their lives less about being rambunctious boys, and more about living lives more similar to a middle aged tie-wielding businessman.

"It wasn't always like this. When I was just a boy, we didn't have all these little fancy electronic gadgets or hours of homework. We'd play in the mud, chase frogs in the creek, and only come home if we heard mama ringing the dinner bell. Sure, we'd fall down, bloody our knees and scrape our elbows; but we learned to get back up, because that's what boys are meant to do."
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
