* The recording is for a product introduction for our software product.
Self-Hypnosis and Relaxation Machine – is software for creating hypnosis and self-improvement sessions.
* The recording will be the background voice track for a Flash introduction. The Flash visuals will be created later, according to the recording.
There will be background music (ambient smooth relaxing music) mixed with the recorded voice.
Audience
* The listeners are potential buyers who visit our web site, and obviously we want to sell them our products.
There should be a good balance between wanting to sell and the fact that the product is a tool for creating soothing soundtracks, for relaxation, meditation etc…
* There are two types of buyers: (1) Professional Therapists - who use the product to create sound sessions for their clients and (2) Users - who create sound sessions for themselves. Users are not necessarily computer experts (both types), and need to be assured that the product is easy to learn and use, although powerful and advanced.
Voice description
* The voice should sound: warm, friendly, soothing, confident, believable, engaging, clear, mature, classy. As mention above, we’re looking for good balance between wanting to sell and the relaxed atmosphere that the product creates, so maybe the excitement level should be 2.5 in the 1-5 scale? We’d like to hear your interpretation.
Time range
* We estimate the time range between 1:45 to 2:15 minutes. We prefer that you’ll decide the best timing and pace for best results. It shouldn’t be too long and slow, since we’re trying to sell something here, but it shouldn’t be too fast, since we’re dealing with a product for relaxation. Good pace is the most important here, so time range limits come secondary.
Pre and post production
* We’d like to read your suggestions, if you find that the text should be slightly changed, for a better result. Your experience is important to us.
* We need the sound clear with no breaths etc, so we’d like you to edit out all breaths, if possible. If this is a problem, please specify.
* There are three important sentences in the text. We’d like to get three different extra takes for each important sentence.
* We’re looking for a voice talent with recording facilities.
* Please specify if you offer post production services. We need to mix the voice with relaxed background ambient music. We can do it ourselves, but maybe you know better how to balance the voice and the music for best results. The mixed background music should have variable changing volume levels according to the script. We will supply the music track. Please specify a separate price for this item, if applicable.
Sound format
* We need the sound recorded in at least 44100, mono, 16-bits. We need the sound as uncompressed full quality WAV (Windows PCM) format. If the file is too large for email attachments, we’ll get FTP link to download the final full audio.
* If music is mixed by you, we'll need two files: with the music (mixed) and without the music (voice only).
