This is a marching band show. The particular movement that involves the voice over is about inspirational quotes. They will have a direct coordination to the drill images made by the students on the field. I have uploaded an mp3. Please listen to 1:26 to 1:36 for the exact script. I'm providing this mp3 so that the voice actor can have an idea for the pacing that is needed and to understand the background music. The inflection of voice should interact with the music arrival points and phrasing. The voice actor does not need to speak precisely the way I do in the attached mp3, but use as a reference for the speed of talking that is required. The way that I speak to the music, so that words and music notes work together to generate an effect, is essential.
I'm looking for a voice like that of a coach giving an inspirational speech, or a motivational speaker delivering words of wisdom to an engaged crowd. Because this voice file will be played through speakers with the intent of reaching a crowd of thousands of people, it needs to have that type of energy. Moreover, it is at the musical climax of the piece- which can be heard on the attached mp3. It's not necessarily that impersonation, but more someone that embodies that energy and character. The emotion should be that of an individual wishing to impart wisdom and experience on the listener. In this case, thousands of people in an audience. There needs to be a warmth and compassion, confidence, and trusting optimism.
Most importantly, the voice needs to be rich and strong- and one that can compete and cut through all of the music happening at that moment. Consult the mp3 to understand this context. Deeper voices may have trouble being heard when the marching band is playing.
