Script Details

Sample script for auditions below.

Lunar Orbital Rendezvous Scientist, in a tightly controlled, determined voice (not too nerdy). A 'voice in the wilderness', this scientist proposes the 'dark horse' or the mode of getting to moon that was thought to be most complex and unachievable.

This mode may seem a little tricky at first, but hear me out. We’ll put a command module, a service module, and a lunar lander on top of the rocket. We launch, coast, and along the way configure the craft for the Moon landing. Once we reach the Moon, the command module — and one crew member — remain in orbit, while the two-man lunar module descends to the lunar surface. When it’s time to come back home, (he’s running out of time, voice is beginning to fade out) … the lunar module takes off, completes a lunar orbit rendezvous with the main spacecraft to reunite the crew, who set a course for home. (sounds deliberately complex and scary)
