Intro to Sleepboarding

In this lesson, we’ll be covering off on the basics of snowboarding from the comforts of your bed. After one night, you will be able to wake up and head for the nearest mountain with confidence. First, let’s ensure that you’re dressed properly for snowboarding, or shredding as it is sometimes called. Make sure your pajama pants are riding a little lower than normal, and if you’re wearing a one-piece spandex ski suit, you may want to try our other lesson, overnight hot-dogging.

Now, you are feeling sleepy, good you’re asleep. Let’s begin by adopting some snowboarder lingo. Whisper ‘that stunt was hella crispy, bra’ to the person sleeping next to you. In other words, you would be telling that person that what they had just done is awesome.

Now lay back, and strap on your board. And remember, those aren’t sheets surrounding you; you’re actually in the midst of two feet of fresh powder. As you ride down the mountain, floating on soft fluffy powder, lean back and forth from your toes to your heels to control your speed. Use your arms to balance yourself, but be careful not to knock over any skiers, small children or that water glass on your nightstand.

Continue to ride gently down the slope. There’s no need to take a chairlift back to the top because during Sleep Learning, the slope never ends. By morning, you’ll have mastered the basics of shredding. Listen to this lesson every night and you’ll soon be riding like a pro. From there you can move on to such lessons as ‘cooking mac and cheese on the radiator of your van’

Goodnight and good luck.
