Short Story Narration
I am looking for a narrator for a children's story for a podcast. The two main characters are young females.

The podcast does not make any money, so it would be nice to find someone who could do this pro-bono. I have included a snippet of the story.

If you would like to audition but don't have time to do a custom demo, please simply send your regular demo. The script is only if you've got time to do it.

Hailey Pouch looked at her older sister, Hannah. She tried to read the expression on her face, but was hard to do through the smoke. There was a lot of smoke. “Well,” Hailey said. “What do you think?” Black smoke clawed its way out around the edges of the door of their dad’s laboratory.

“We should go in and see,” Hannah said.

Hailey frowned and rubbed the back of her neck. “We’re not allowed in there,” she said.

“It was an awful loud explosion,” Hannah said. Smoke filled the kitchen.

“Like I said, it’s dangerous.” Hailey coughed. “Should we open a window?” she asked.

Hannah opened the window and the door. She came back to stand by her sister. The smoke began to clear.

“Do you think dad’s okay?” Hailey asked. She pointed at the bulging wooden door with a look of concern.

“Well,” Hannah said, “he’s not screaming.”

Hailey nodded. “Yeah, but…uhm…maybe there’s a reason for that.” Hailey passed a glance with her sister. She could see the concern on Hannah’s face. Normally, when dad blew himself up there was a lot of coughing, wheezing, and words that little girls weren’t allowed to repeat.

Hannah gathered herself. “Stand back,” she said, “I’m going in.”

“Really?” Hailey asked. She gave a nervous grin. “Dad blows the lab up all the time.”

“Yeah, I know,” Hannah said. She sounded unsure, and she glanced sideways at Hailey. She looked back at the door. Something fell and broke inside the lab, causing the girls to jump. “I’m going.”

Hailey watched as Hannah rolled the sleeves to her pajamas. She reached out and grabbed her sister’s hand. “You’re going in your pajamas?” Hailey asked. “They’re your favorite.” It was an odd thing to grab a hold of just then, but Hailey was scared. She was searching for something to delay going into the lab.

A noise from the made them look up.

“Do you hear that?” Hailey asked. She pointed at the lab door.

“Sounds like moaning,” Hannah said.

Silence fell over the pair. They stared at the door for a moment, and then they looked at each other.

“Where’s mom?” Hannah asked.

“She’s at the market,” Hailey said. “We’re out of toothpaste.”

“So it’s just us then,” Hannah said.

“Yep,” Hailey said. She chewed her lip.

“I’m going,” Hannah said.

Hailey heard the crack in her sister’s voice. Hannah was attempting to sound brave, but there was doubt twisted into her normally strong voice.

Hailey nodded. “Okay,” she said.

Hannah grabbed, twisted, and pulled the door knob. The door opened with a groan, and a big, black ball of smoke rolled over the girls. They waved the smoke away to see their dad lying, unmoving, in the middle of the floor. There was a tornado of black smoke, swirling above him. The tornado flashed two big, red eyes towards the girls and growled.
