THE EXACT DAY THIS TALE BEGINS IS UNKNOWN, THE YEAR, UNCERTAIN. THESE EVENTS WERE NOT RECORDED BY AN ANNALIST OF HISTORY, CONVERSATIONS WERE NOT DOCUMENTED. MOST LEGENDS SUCH AS THIS ARE MERELY A VAST MASS OF FOLKLORE AND IMAGINING WHICH HAS BEEN PASSED ON FROM TONGUE TO TONGUE AT LOCAL CAMPFIRES AND CROSSROAD SALOONS. SOME OF IT EXAGGERATED, EMBELLISHED TO BRING EXCITEMENT TO THOSE UNIMAGINATIVE MOMENTS.
