Project Main Details
He's a dualistic character. Sophisticated and well-mannered on one hand, but there's a certain sense of irony or even threat to everything he says on the other. Imagine John Dillinger trying to pretend being an aristocrat.
The game itself tells a story of a mysterious hotel. The only intact building, standing atop the remains of once lively town destroyed during a dam accident.
The player's car crashes in the middle of nowhere, and he or she has no other choice but to seek help in the nearby hotel. Inside, the player meets a cast of its extraordinary inhabitants – each hiding a dark secret from the past; a secret deeply connected to the sunken city. As the game progresses, the player realizes the shocking truth – the inhabitants of the hotel are in fact victims of the catastrophe. Drowned dead bound to remain in the place of their demise.
Our game is based heavily on deep atmosphere. Quality and expressive voice acting is crucial to maintaining the mood and giving our characters strong and interesting personality.
We predict the script for the manager to be around 2000 words long. It consist of monologues only, but the monologues are supposed to be acted like parts of conversations – with pauses and emotions to mark the supposed responses from the player.

http://phantasmat.com/reception.jpg Hmm, a stranger. How... unexpected. Nonetheless, welcome to our fine hotel. And what brings you here on such a dark and stormy night? We don't see many guests. Not since the town was flooded.
Ah, you crashed your car, I see. Did you happen to notice any downed pylons?
Ha! I knew it! Such bad luck. Such bad luck indeed.
As a fellow human being I am duty bound to help you. However... We're experiencing something of an emergency here as well. Since the electricity lines were cut off by nothing other than your crashing car. The phone is dead silent, the lights extinguished.
My assistant is trying to fix an old generator in the basement however, which may alleviate the situation. You could probably check with her and see if it couldn’t be done faster.
You see without power, I am unable to provide substantial help. Much as I would dearly like to.
