Each day across the U.S., millions of parents entrust our nation’s child-care providers with our greatest resource and treasure: our children. And with more than 17.5 million children cared for outside the home, it’s become a vital part of daily life for many Americans.

But disasters don’t care about family schedules - striking anywhere, at any time - including the many hours children are separated from their families in a child-care setting.

As a child-care professional, YOU may be the first line of response to provide for the unique needs of children in the event of a disaster.

At Save The Children, our goal is to ensure that all child-care professionals are equipped with the skills and resources you’ll need to protect and provide for the kids in your care during an emergency.

Our Child Care Emergency Preparedness Training will help you to implement practical emergency plans that cater to the specific needs of your program, training your team to:

- Identify hazards and risks at your child care site.
- Create a written emergency plan that addresses the needs of your program.
- And communicate, practice and update your emergency plan on a regular basis.

By carefully preparing for the worst, you can be at your best in the event of a disaster - providing peace of mind to both you and the parents of children in your care.

Join us online, at the U.S. Center for Child Development and Resiliency to complete the course at your own pace, or find the training nearest you.

Be safe, don’t wait. Get the training you need today.
