Resistance Introduction ZD126636
We are a group of high school students that've been working on a short documentary since January. The topic of the film is Draft Evasion during the Vietnam war and covers 3 specific stories of how people managed to evade the draft. The VoiceOver needs to be serious, intense but not stale or too intense.

It was 1965. In order to protect South Vietnam from communist North, president Johnson got approval to deploy the first combat troops into southeast asia. Young men across the US were drafted and deployed into combat over the next 11 years. Although the majority of Americans initially approved of the war, by 1973, 70% of Americans thought the U.S. made a mistake sending troops to fight in Vietnam. College campuses across the nation became the epicenter of the antiwar movement. Many of the young men drafted believed the war was unjustified, and went to great lengths to avoid deployment, facing hefty fines or even federal prison, these are their stories.
