Project Main Details

Rene Rousselle
Two days ago I had to replace one of my volunteer voice-over talents, and once again tonight am calling on someone to assist me...

My ongoing documentary, No Bridge Too Far. It's my labor of love done in my home studio. Dedicated to my later father, a 540th Combat Engineer and his fellow WWII buddies.

I am getting ready to publish (on DVD) part one (chapters one and two), within the next week or so, and after going over with a fine-toothed comb, have discovered the original voice-over (a cousin), isn't going to cut it. HELP! While he did a GREAT job reading, it is too distorted to use, and stands out like a sore thumb. Sigh!

So I need someone to get something to me ASAP, so I can get this published. It's always something!

You will be portraying a young soldier, and this is his one and only quote in the documentary.

Renn-AY ROO-sell
540th is read as five-fortieth
“Called out and sent by train to Camp Edwards, Massachusetts. Only about twenty men at that time, and people started to come in until we had about 180 men and officers. Then moved out to an island, it was called Washburn Island...No buildings, just tents, one can of water per day. Went into Edwards once a week to take a shower. Duty started by one o’clock in the morning. Marched about three miles to the beach and got on the boats to land on Martha’s Vineyard. Bay was foggy and sailors got lost, so stayed on the boats until daylight to land. Spent two hours on the island, then back to Washburn for breakfast...”
