Project Main Details

Rebel Radio LIVE
The guys involved host an oddball radio show. The Pakistani character has a bit of a British accent (if possible but I am open to other ideas). His name is Habib and he has a phobia about public speaking and has a hard time getting himself together on the air. His co-host on the show is Leo, a Hasidic Jewish guy who is kind of hip and street smart. He is more pragmatic than Habib who tends to be a bit flighty. Finally there is Rafael who is the weather and entertainment reporter. This character talks really fast, knows all about zombies on TV and is totally wrapped up in TV drama and celebrity gossip.

What we are looking to do is just do 2 or 3 minutes of audio for a short animation skit.

You can see images of the characters at ********************** The About Us page has a Twitter feed with some concept art and 3D models. Also, I would like anyone who works on this project to sign a Work for Hire document which I will provide for review.

A young news and entertainment reporter, RAFAEL, is RUMMAGING through a box in the back of the studio gathering props for his upcoming weather segment. He is dressed in a strange outfit to celebrate the beginning of Spring. He finds a orange traffic cone and puts it on his head and wears it like a hat. Next he finds a large bubble wand about the size of a butterfly net.
(talking to himself)
Yes! Found it. This is perfect for my first day of Spring weather report.
Rafael waves the wand around in mock bubble making style. He makes the sound of the light sword in Star Wars and pretends heÂ’s a Jedi warrior as he slices the air with the wand.
A radio NARRATOR is just finishing a commercial playing from a pre-recorded sponsor advertisement. CAMERA focuses on Habib and Leo who are sitting at the console area.
So remember FerdoÂ’s Home of the Kabob for the best food on a stick anywhere.
(warbled voice)
Thank you to our sponsor FerdoÂ’s for his fine Kabbobs. Now it is time for the news.
Leo unfolds a newspaper and begins to read the news.
Says here thereÂ’s a city-wide fruit shortage.
I have a lime tree in my yard.
Oh, okay so weÂ’re all good then. You know, that's the great thing about living here isnÂ’t it? If you keep your eyes open you see fruit hanging around everywhere.
Rafael walks slicing the air with the bubble wand and making bubbles and SFX swooshing light sabre sounds.
I see what you mean.
Rafael stops, turns and walks over and pushes his face up next to HabibÂ’s.
I donÂ’t appreciate your comment Habib.
Habib looks concerned, Leo watches with interest and starts smiling.
Look at you man. YouÂ’re the one wearing a dress dude. YouÂ’re lucky I donÂ’t kick your ass right now. But, since you want to label me a fruit, think of me as a date . . . as in my fist is gonna have a date with your face. Okay!
He sniffs the air in HabibÂ’s general direction, curls his lip, snarls at Habib then turns and storms off.
Habib looks depressed.
(to himself)
I meant fruitcake.
Leo continues to read the newspaper headlines.
Deathtrap on General Motors banned word list. GM has banned employees from using the words Hindenburg, rolling sarcophagus, you're toast, tomb-like, powder keg, apocalyptic and titanic to describe their cars.
(from across the console area)
So I guess time-bomb is okay?
There are dirty words you canÂ’t say on TV.
(fiendishly to get Habib in trouble)
Oh yeah. What are they?
Um, letÂ’s see. There is . . .
You canÂ’t say them on the radio either Habib.
Leo throws his arms up in the air then drops them heavily on the desk.
Damn it.
We have another CALLER.
Hello caller you are on the air with Rebel Radio.
Habib . . . Habib is dat you? Habib answer me right now. Is dat you on the radio? You need to come home Habib. You need to come home. We have the very nice woman for you. You know. What are you doing? What are you doing there? You donÂ’t need to be there, you need to be here with me and your family Habib.
(mildly surprised)
Is that your mom, dude?
